Join the World Affairs Council of Charlotte (WACC) for lunch on Tuesday, October 18, as we host the Ambassador of Italy to the United States Mariangela Zappia. She will talk about Italy’s diplomatic and trade relationship with the U.S. and offer insight into ways to continue strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.

As a longtime career diplomat in the Italian foreign service, Ambassador Zappia will offer her perspective on Italy’s role in the world and regional alliances, including NATO. In addition, she will address Italy’s response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, European politics, and geopolitical tsunamis affecting communities worldwide.
